an old-fashioned diary girl

when I was a child, I wrote journal entries like a personal newscast. I assumed the everyday always would be...

from this impulse, I say this about today:

I found out I can cough in my sleep. cutting out smoking (again) so I'm coughing up extra phlegm... I thought I woke up when I was handed a glass of water, but in the next breath I'd fallen asleep holding the glass, which promptly turned over in the bed...

Also in the news, the temp readout in my car does indeed have 3 digits. It must be summer.

The everyday is usually more interesting than we think it is. The boring parts of life are only there to give us time to remember the odd ones.

No wise-cracks about odd ones now, it's too easy. =)
