Dec. 24th, 2001

I can't believe it's Christmas time already. Winter did arrive right on schedule, if you can call it winter in Georgia. It got colder Dec. 21, and it's supposed to drop again over the holiday. Lows in the 20s possibly. Whew!

I have all the Christmas presents wrapped, mostly because I refuse to run around like crazy anymore. That entry where I said I finally have to do it, I managed to do most of it that evening, then made a trip to Wal-Mart, and voila!

I bought too much wrapping paper and not enough ribbon, as usual.

Too many people have already left to go out of town. When I was a kid, we stayed at my grandmother's throughout the whole two weeks off from school and it was a big deal. Time to play with my cousins and go visiting and do all that stuff, now it's dinner and a couple of hours with presents and it's practically over. Of course, I'm not a little kid any more. No more Santa Claus. I had thought by this time I'd be doing it for someone else.

Damn this is depressing. I will stop.

Joyful Yuletide to all of you, rejoice in the Sun, rejoice in the Son.

As Dennis Miller says, I am outta here.
