Ok, so I've been being productive, and it's kind of scary. Mostly because I can still see so much to do. I have done tons of laundry and kept it rather up to date; much of it is folded and stored at the house with the kids I nanny, so I can clean out my dresser drawers and all the OTHER junk I have in my room.
I have actually sorted out most of the remaining junk at this point and it resides in little piles in the 15 drawers I have. There is still a pile of miscellaneous stuff in the middle of the floor, and I am missing a shoe. (with 19 pair, who would notice, you ask. It's my only pair of athletic shoes, I retort.)
So, on the one hand, after this weekend, I should be ready to move stuff into my room because I will have emptied said room!
On the other hand, there's still a bunch of things that need doing.
On the other hand, I got up this morning and did a load of laundry and swept up a lot around the house and cleaned the cat box and cleaned the exterior of the washer and dryer. Lint everywhere. Now my nose tickles and my head hurts. I want to stop. I think maybe I ought to stop.
But...
There are missing things to look for...
That pile of miscellaneous junk in the middle of the floor...
The stains on the futon that should be cleaned...
So I can fold up the bed ...
So I can have my couch back ...
So I can put the tv in that room ...
And have someplace to fold laundry so it won't sit around the house with cats making beds in it...
There are still several boxes of papers in the "storage area" of the apartment ...
And my bed is still coming apart ...
As are my white shelves, which I really need to keep my stuff on ...
But if I force myself to keep going I will hate myself later. I will never learn to keep things clean because it will always be this big PROCESS and never just maintaining.
I'm sorry for any of you who actually read this far.
****And now for something completely different****
So, I snagged the "what princess" test from kibbles, and I really liked the answer I got. I went shopping for saris yesterday if that tells you anything. I need an Indian cookbook.
(Y'know, I'd really like an so we could just edit out the graphics [or graphic information, as the case may be])
