Another thing they were right about, concerning the lasik, it does smell like burning ... but not nearly as bad as you'd think.

To answer Az's question: I think you'll get better results if you ask me next month. Right now, my eyes ache when I look at the computer (or any other brightly lit thing) too long. They get dry quickly and the outer edges of the incisions itch when they get too dry. They feel best right after I wake up.

I'm not sure about my left eye, which still seems a little off.

But I know that the surgery was successful, and that there's still much to happen before I am 'done.' If I'm not as excited and thrilled as one might think, it's mostly because I'm still in this newness thing. I keep thinking my contacts are bothering me.... it feels much the same. And the realization that I won't have to do that anymore is still mysterious to me.

Today, I just went to work, but everyone was real nice and I got good tips and I ate cheesecake. :)
