Closure

Hey all!

Mark again, I'm afraid. Good news, though! Kat is out of the city and headed back to friends and family.

Apparently, she's in a pickup truck with 13 other people, headed for Beaumont, TX. She has a flight from there to Atlanta, ariving at 2pm. Heather's going to pick her up at the Airport. And since DragonCon starts tomorrow, she should be able to go there directly, if she's up to it. Well, probably a trip to WalMart first, since she left with the clothes on her back and nothing else.

Next post you see will be from Kat herself. I'm sure she'll have plenty to say!

Officially back at the helm

This is just the status report, but it is I, ecstatic to be back.

First, thank you all for your prayers, I am so positive that they helped.

Second, for those of you who offered to help in other ways, since it looks like NOLA won't be habitable for a while, I do have a paypal account: kat at scyllacat dot net. I got out of town with four pieces of clothing, a pair of shoes and a raincoat (which I guess makes five).

Until they let us back into the city, I won't have a job, or a home or clothes. I have friends to stay with in Atlanta, so the home part is okay, but I may be looking for a job and/or permanently relocating.

It is, if I do say so myself, one heck of a story. I got the reporter virus a few years back, so I do think about these things.

Sorry about the scare, all. But I'm saving up to give you the whole story when I have more time.

For the ladies that asked....

I generally wear a (women's) size 10, 36C bra, 8 shoe. I generally wear cotton and cotton blends as synthetics irritate my skin badly. Yes, three days in the weather has left me covered in sunburn, windburn, cuts, bug bites, heat rashes and bruises. So I may not even notice.

I should be at Dragon*Con tomorrow night, but if anyone wants to contact me that can't be there, please send an email (or just reply to this with your email) and I'll send you more personal information privately.

Right now, being clean and coddled by two of my best girl friends is the greatest relief. And gratuitous hugs. Thank all of you again for your concern. I can't express my gratitude.
