Well, the haunt is over, my job is going ... ok, i need to do about twice as much, but I have to wait for the work to come in, and I've got some extra pick up on the 19th-21st. We're working on some Thanksgiving plans with the family, and I should have money next week FINALLY.

I'm trying to get my taxes caught up now, at long last. I filed for 2006, but it was returned because I forgot to sign it. Before you say it, I've had a number of people tell me that I'm in for all kinds of trouble, but since I'm poor, there's nothing for them to confiscate. I figure that, since I don't actually owe anything, my deadline is really before I look too interesting. To wit: In the 3-1/2 years since I missed the deadline for 2003, I've received ONE letter saying that I hadn't filed. Thus, I don't think I'm very interesting to them. Unlike, say, my former boyfriend and roommate, who supposedly owes them several hundreds of thousands of dollars, and received at least one letter every 2 weeks telling him how upset they were.

Then I'm going to try to make at least one round of all the people I should be getting in touch with and hanging out with during the holiday season. [livejournal.com profile] polychromatic22, I got your message. I will be in touch soon. Sorry, Ric, I'm still not getting to poker night this month, but I'll try to send Charlie.

Regarding Christmas/Yule/Hanukkah (I know other people celebrate other things, but this should cover MY f-list), I am, as usual, short on money. What suggestions/wishes do you have for "token" presents? I have had the experience of receiving candles, incense, fudge, "news" letters, photographs... and given many of these as well. Basically, what can I buy a lot of and wrap up for various friends because it's just nice? Some of my friends might like pens, I think. Any other bright ideas?
