I found this part hilarious. This were the points on the "gay marriage" question at last night's debate: Sarah Palin, nicely, did say that she would not stand in the way of hospital visitation or contracts between gay partners. Biden agreed with her on not "legalizing" gay marriage, but made it clear that he considered that a civil and RELIGIOUS matter that was not an issue for federal government. He then loudly and enthusiastically proclaimed how glad he was to hear that Sarah Palin was in favor of supporting protection of gay civil rights.

The moderator turned to Gov. Palin and asked her if she did, indeed, agree with that.

Palin, obviously flustered, reiterated that she did not support gay marriage.

My question is whether she REALLY didn't understand what was asked, or if she just dodged the question.

After the debate, the commentator on the channel we were watching said that it was a point in her FAVOR that she changed the subject so readily, and a point AGAINST Biden that he sometimes did NOT parrot the responses of Obama and instead talked about what HE thought. Wow. I must have misunderstood how VP debates work.
