Nipped this from [livejournal.com profile] peteyfrogboy  (Hi, Lorenzo!)

1. Who was your best friend?

Laura Lagow

2.What sports did you play?

None.

3. What kind of car did you drive?

Second semester of senior year I was allowed to drive my dad’s Pontiac, although I’d previously totaled a used Omega he’d bought for me.

4. It’s Friday night, where were you?

During football season, at the game, otherwise probably at home.

5. Were you a party animal?

Nope.

6. Were you considered a flirt?

Probably, but in a like, “oh it’s so cute, she thinks she’s flirting” kind of way.

7. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir?

I was drum major of the marching band. I also played oboe in the orchestra, saxophone in the jazz band, and sang alto in the show choir. I was in the choir and played handbells at church, too. Total music geek.

8. Were you a nerd?

No doubt. Although I’d only just figured that out senior year of high school.... Math League, spelling bees, joint enrollment at the local college... it was all spelled out in my applications to various universities.

9. Did you get suspended/expelled?

Never even got a reprimand.

10. Can you sing the fight song?

Too busy playing/directing it to sing it. “War eagle, fly down the field, ever to conquer, never to yield...” that’s all I remember.

11. Who was your favorite teacher?

At the time, Coach Eddie Brock. Now I look back, and Jackie Payne was the one I should have liked best.

13. School mascot?

Eagles

14. Did you go to Prom?

Yup.

15. If you could go back and do it over, would you?

Maybe senior year. It was a good year in many ways.

16. What do you remember most about graduation?

It rained hard, and one kid was totally late because he was trying to finish his chores on his family farm in the horrid weather. I had to give a speech. I don’t remember what I said, but it was something about using the lessons of our past to inform our future.

17. Where were you on senior skip day?

If I wasn’t at school, I was at an academic or music competition, I’m sure. I never skipped.

18. Did you have a job your senior year?

Nope. Too many rehearsals.

19. Where did you go most often for lunch?

We weren’t allowed to go anywhere but the cafeteria. Although we mostly subsisted on Dr. Pepper and Reese’s.

20. Have you gained weight since then?

About 15 pounds net, with some yo-yo-ing.

21. What did you do after graduation?

Wrote letters to my long distance boyfriend, read “Pilgrim’s Progress” and “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance,” spent a month with my dad at Johns Hopkins, where he was undergoing a series of experimental treatments, then enrolled at Emory University.

22. When did you graduate?

1987.

23. Who was your Senior prom date?

Jim Evans. We always would end up making out whenever we got together, but we could never really make a relationship go. My mom made me wear the dorkiest purple dress.

24. Are you going / did you go to your 10 year reunion?

Went. Was voted most changed. Since then, I’ve lost that husband, that job, that hairstyle.... I think they wouldn’t recognize me AGAIN.

25. Who was your home room teacher?

Don’t remember.  A guy who taught classes that weren't part of my curriculum.

26. Who will repost this after you?

No clue. Maybe [livejournal.com profile] sugared_redhead.
