Without knowing the situation, or knowing the guy, and just judging by his post (and your response), the guy comes across as a butt.
Sorry, I have a problem with people who go off on others as "worthless," except in the most dire circumstances (Heck, I don't think I'd actually call my ex worthless, and whatever his beef with you, I'd have more call to, I reckon.) To me, it's a sign of trouble to see someone who uses words like that freely. Particularly if the person is trying to sound enlightened at the same time. And a man addressing it to a woman with whom he has some kind of relationship raises my hackles in particular, but maybe it's just where my head s at lately.
Don't know the guy, but it comes off as creepy, and maybe someone you don't need to be around...
