Once again, it's time for the spam-list-LJ-entry!
In other words, I haven't had time to write down what's really going on, and I have too much to do, so, by way of a snapshot of what's happening in my life, you get to read my list of Things to Do, instead of getting an actual journal entry.
1. Right now, I'm just about to start washing the cars.
2. I also need to do laundry again (which I never finished from last week).
3. At some point, I need to call the Burger King where I accidentally left my work shirt Friday night (when I changed shirts in their restroom before going to the movies with Amy -- "Cowboy Bebop," yum!), and find out if any of the morons over there actually held onto it.
4. I need to write to the Dragon*Con newsletter people and tell them I want to get in on that gig. I told them I'd tell them before the end of the week, and guess what....? (It's the end of the week. Time is up!)
5. As a result of looking for a mileage log book in the office supply store, I now know that I've been keeping my work mileage log incorrectly, so I need to look up tax information, organize the information I have for the past five weeks, and plan for something that works better in the upcoming weeks. I need also to get some kind of information that will allow me to estimate how much money I should actually be withholding for taxes and SSI.
6. Tired of running around doing impossible chores all weekend, I have decided I need to make a chore schedule so that my housecleaning doesn't have to be either put off or done all in one burning frenzy.
7. From the big wish list, I'd like to start (continue?) organizing the art supplies in the garage downstairs. There are crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint and brushes, various types of paper, a vast array of scrap fabric, stickers, beads, numerous sewing "notions," feathers, pom-poms (sp?) and Goddess-Only-Knows what-all in various boxes, bags and suitcases. The only consistent feature at the moment is that they're too disorganized for anyone to actually do anything creative without making a big (huge) mess. Since I have enough messes, I am hoping to actually get to organizing instead.
Meanwhile, Puck will be making barbecued ribs and corn-on-the-cob. Whee!
