I met a new person the other day. Which is interesting because you start talking to them and you tell them your life in this little capsule, and they do the same. Of course, my "capsules" are like 3 hours long. I ramble on, given the chance. So, I thought I would try to take what I learned-slash-processed through this meeting, and give those of you who would like to hear about something besides my relationship dramas an idea of where I think I am.

This is the beginning of novel-writing month. I haven't even signed up, but I'm tempted to try anyway. I mean, how bad can it suck, considering all of the horrible cliched romances out there I could have written already. And I need to practice, whether it sucks or not.

I'm working on The Four Agreements. It's a rather short book and it proclaims to be telling you something about religious (Taltec? sp?) mysteries. The four agreements are relatively simple actually, though, and are echoed in Buddhism and assertiveness training and all kinds of other things. They are paraphrased as follows:
1. Be honest and act with integrity in all things as much as possible.
2. Don't take things personally.
3. Avoid assumptions.
4. Do your best.
