I cleaned a lot of trash out of the house yesterday. I have a lot more to do today. I found trash that is over two years old in the garage. I know because I was here when it happened.

I dreamed about my father this morning. I hate it when that happens. Not because I hate dreaming about my father per se, but because I don't dream about my father, the person, I dream about the body that had to be taken care of. And my father was intelligent and lucid and loving until he died, but in my dreams, he's just a body, a representative husk.

I find myself having conversations in my dreams about how he's been dead since 1991, so I'm not particularly concerned about hism dying now. When I realize this, I always wonder why I don't know it's a dream. I always think, this happened before, yeah, but that was a dream.

I also dreamed I saw Princess Diana, but her back was turned to me.

I woke up suddenly, though, and jumped out of bed.

I'm truly behind on the new year's thing, so I will be back later for that.
Okay, so now I've caught up with some of my friends. It might be time to clean out my friends list, but there's still a dichotomy between the people I know and want to have on my friends list so they can read my stuff, and the people that I know and I want to read their stuff. I don't know how attached people are to me, maybe they don't care.

In other news, my ex-husband was by here and brought furniture, some of which I had been wondering where it went to. I only almost smashed my toe, which hurt, under the butcher block.

My car is dead again. I've already had to recharge the battery once. What I can't explain is how it can go all day and crank through twenty stops and starts and maybe more, but if it sits for two days, it dies. Is there a short? Should I disconnect the fuses?

WHY don't I have men around that are mechanically inclined? Or women, for that matter? Where are you? Shout out!

Housewifely

I am being all housewife-ly the past couple of days. My ex-husband would be astonished. I washed the dishes, straightened the pantry and some of the shelves. I cleaned the microwave. I took out the trash, even though I now realize I was a day early in doing so. There are 11 bags of trash outside. There may be more later.

I would like to know where everything goes, in the thought that I might clean up on a regular basis, but I am afraid to count on that. I've never been very reliable on cleaning up, just sometimes, I have good days.

I am not actually sure if these are good days, however, since I seem to be mostly on the computer and in the bath. Almost all of the cleaning was done in 10 minute bits between other things.

Right now, I'm procrastinating doing my own clothes, now that the rest of the house has gone from "messy" to "needs some picking up."

Right. 10 minutes on the clothes.
Who uses Skype? I got a headset with a microphone and downloaded Skype. "Scyllacat," naturally. I feel all cyborgy.
