Grrr.... the car

Mei-mei is having a bad day. She's been having a leak of power steering fluid on the front passenger side wheel. Today, or probably last night, the rack-and-pinion seal failed entirely, and steering fluid has been pouring out of the car like water through a sieve.

That's my surmise, having been told by two or three mechanics that I was going to have to replace the rack-and-pinion system.

The car is now at Brownlee Automotive in Stone Mountain, where they will figure out exactly what they have to do to it to fix it. This is a several hundred dollar problem, and it's one of those things that makes me want another job, RIGHT NOW. So much so that I was going over medical terminology flashcards with my breakfast.

I hope Phoenix and Dragon calls me back, but now I'm worried that they won't, since they haven't yet.

And I will miss working on the Friday before the holiday weekend. That's going to be a hit.

Yes, I took my medicine today. Anxiety is real and alive, and not a free-floating ghost -- at least, it is today.

Meanwhile, I will try to take advantage of having a long weekend with nothing to do and nowhere to go... *twinkle* Gee, I wonder....

If I may suggest a possible temporary fix for the steering problems. Go to the local AutoZone (or any other parts store) and get a bottle or power steering stop leak and try that. It may help, if it does, you've saved seeveral hundred dollars. If it doesn't, you're only out a couple of dollars.
