Anniversary

I hear that the anniversary phenomenon is real. Perhaps that's why I dreamed about having to crawl in mud and losing keys yesterday morning. This morning, I dreamed I was packing stuff and moving it out of an apartment, and it didn't really seem to matter whose was whose. I haven't been watching the anniversary coverage of Katrina, for obvious reasons, but obviously, part of me remembers REALLY WELL.

*sigh* yeah. i've been feeling it come on myself - for me its not a direct experience of the storm - its the feelings during and after and hoping literally half my family makes it..then not knowing for a while after if they did or not.

you have my number. if you want to talk about it, i'm here. *hug*

nobody can ignore that kind of lingering psychic muck, much less anybody who was actually involved.

I just remember the sick feeling I got when they said all those thousands of people were going to seek shelter at the stadium, and the sense of absolute relief to find out the next day that it had not become a human soup bowl as I had feared.
