I downloaded iJournal to the power Mac.
Have I mentioned the power Mac? Well, to some people I have.
But now I'm officially moving my workstation to the power Mac, which has a dual core processor yay! and it's so smooth. Which is to say, pretty fast. Fast is good, fast enough not to notice the man frantically pulling levers behind the curtain.
Yes, I know, welcome to the 21st century.

Date: 2007-05-17 04:04 pm (UTC)When I graduate from here, I have to find a job, and they'll tell me what they expect then; at which point I will find out either a) my old notebook can run it b) my Mac can run it or c) I need a new computer. But since I don't know what I'll need at that point, I'll jump off that bridge when I come to it.
I'm more worried that since Charlie has the only computer that's <3 years old that I might need to buy a computer for the upgrade.

Date: 2007-05-17 08:32 pm (UTC)And I was wondering why you were in my iChat buddy list with a multi-video-chat icon. :) (Not that my bandwidth on the wireless here at work would let me establish a video chat with .. well, anybody .. but I figured you were running either a very very new version of AIM or some version of iChat AV .. :D )

Date: 2007-05-29 03:39 pm (UTC)In revenge for you getting me totally lolling at lolcats (I got to page 10 before I was caught up), I am here to ask your opinion on something.
You have a Mac? We're thinking seriously about getting the 20 inch iMac, adding a GB of memory, and I was wondering two things:
a) Are we better off going to the Apple store or ordering online?
b) Out of all the training/help programs that they offer, what, if any, would you recommend?
I've used Macs before (we're on a PC now but the hamster is getting tired) so I don't need training fron the ground up, I'm just wondering if there's one thing you'd say, "OMG, yes, take advantage of the Pretentious Hipster Classes." (jk... mostly.)
Anywhoo, sorry to come over to your personal journal and be all "YOUR OPINIONS! LET YOU SHOW ME THEM!" but I'm a little confused with all the one-to-one, .mac and iKnowitall stuff.

Date: 2007-05-29 04:29 pm (UTC)Actually, I love this Mac, OS X is really good, and, you know, there's just the normal getting-used-to-it, and here I am doing stuffs like a pro.

Date: 2007-05-29 04:35 pm (UTC)Cool, the huz is pretty much "Smash keys make 'puter go good!" so anything to make it easier for him would be great.
(Also, befriended you. Which I've been meaning to do for a while. I don't comment too much but I do read every day.)
