Today is the day, on Sprockets, when we trade in our NetherPogs for schwag. This year they have separated this process from the wrap party/award ceremony/payday. That's new. I guess they didn't want to have to pack up all their cookies and haul them all the way up to Gwinnett Mall.
I never have a lot of pogs, ok? I am not an AMAZING actor, or EXTREMELY dedicated. I don't get a lot of coupons turned in. I only worked 3 days per week this week. I always have somewhere around 20 pogs. But the weird thing is this: Every year, I look in the bag, I look in the car, I look on the nightstand, on the makeup counter, in the coat pockets. I collect all my pogs. And every year, by September, I've managed to find a couple more, which sit in the jewelry box and wait until October. I will remember, of course, when I find them, that I only wore the jacket once, or I forgot about the inside pocket of that bag, or that one time when I dropped it under the seat. But Pogs migrate.
Add to To-Do list: Before next year, put up some damn Netherworld icons.
