It doesn't look like I'm going to SCA tonight, and it doesn't look like I'm going to Fool's War, either. Well, that gives me more time to work on my mother's closet.

I finally got the old shelving down, and I'm tickled when I look at the directions.  It has a screwdriver, tape measure, hand drill, level, and step stool pictured, and they look like the baby tools I have.  This was made for ladies to put up, not construction workers.  Now, how much spackle will I need to repair the damage I did getting the old stuff out?

It occurs to me that it's probably time to do something about my icons.  I couldn't find one that seemed appropriate.

Would you be open to traveling transcriptionist jobs? I come across them occasionally in my work. Just saw one in Fresno, CA for a few months. If you're interested I can send you their contact info.

I'm not sure what that means, darlin'. Would I have to go to Fresno, really? But sure, I'd love to see anything in the field. I'm going to get my resume out soon, really. I love my job, but I need more work, and I can take my little part time job on the road, so that's ok.

I checked it out for you...

The folks who had the assignment open just filled it, but I got the scoop for the future. You have to go through an agency to get the contracts. They do have traveling assignments for transcription - just like travel nursing. See the country, yay! This assignment was for 6 months in Fresno, CA.

The agency pays for your housing, car, professional insurance etc. You get a flat hourly rate for your services and some agencies will provide health benefits, etc. I asked which agency they recommend and they said MSN Health (http://www.msnhealth.com/).

The agency gets around $55/hr to cover your services, housing, car, their profit, etc.

Thank you, darlin'. I will keep it bookmarked. It may not turn up anything, but then again, this is the life. :)
