I seem to be a slow starter. I think about the things I've done that I Really Wanted To and they all took time to work up to them. Time of false starts over and over. And the things that I missed because I procrastinated were the things that I let GET to me because I condemned myself for being a slow starter. So, now that I admit it, I can look at it, how it functions, why it helps me, how to use it to my best advantage instead of fighting the parts that I don't understand.... that seem to be standing in the way.

And that seems to be a metaprocess.

One of the things that I've gotten out of long study of Tarot, astrology, and other such modes of thought is that the things that are your good qualities are often the same traits that you consider your bad qualities, just expressed differently or in a different set of circumstances.

For example, Pisces and other watery types are notoriously thin-skinned...emotional, oversensitive, easily hurt, and consequently often easily pissed off as well. But that same hypersensitivity is also what makes them empathetic and intuitive and perceptive and creatively expressive. It's all the same thing, really...just some ways of expressing it are better and more adaptive than others.

So, what good quality is the slow-starting, procrastination tendency an alternate expression of? Maybe that you like to grok something in fullness before you start in on it...that you work best in an intuitive mode? Or something else?

Right. Thanks. That's what I need to do.
