Quite likely true, and what's a little more unsettling is that what's online to google isn't always what one might remember. When the records of the past are only online, the past becomes fluid, and things disappear down the memory hole a la 1984.

It's hard enough living in a city that only vaguely resembles the small town I grew up in, where things I remember disappear almost as fast as they can be torn down ..
