I'm packing, and I'm trying to sort out in my head. At Wes' house, I now have the following divisions: Stuff I'm Taking, Stuff I Really Want to Take and will Fit in if I Can or Maybe Mail to Myself, Stuff I Want to Take and Can Come Back For, Stuff I do NOT Want to Give Away But Am Not Taking and have no real plans for, Stuff I Would Like to Sell, Stuff I would Like other people to keep Indefinitely, Stuff I would like to Give to Friends, Stuff I would Like to have Zapped Out of Existence But Can't Stand To,....
.. Stuff People Could HAve if they really Wanted it, Stuff that's Going to Charity ....
The only pile I DON'T have is Stuff I'm Throwing Away, because that doesn't require additional Triage. Once it's there, it's over, and I get rid of it as I go.
I could box up about 8-12 boxes that could be sent on, but I don't have the money to send it all at once, which means I have to divide it into 'costumes and garb,' 'sewing stuff,' 'winter clothing,' 'extra work clothes,' 'exercise and grubby clothing'....etc.
Being a dabbler means I have a lot of stuff, but it means only small collections of each kind of thing. I'm bringing almost all my plushies in one basket, but I'm leaving the beanies and the harlequin dolls.
I'm boxing up the comics, but bringing massage and erotica.
Oh, in Piles, I also forgot the 'Laundry to Sort,' 'Heather's and Mark's stuff that Got In Here Somehow,' 'Stuff I HAVE to Have Access To,' 'Car Stuff,' 'Florida Stuff'...

I'm pretty sure this meme has reached the apex and is starting back down, but you, as opposed to most people, actually have interesting and intelligent reactions and opinions on things.
